Murong Jianqiu (played by Tang Zhenye) and Hua Yiyue (played by Liu Yuting) are childhood sweethearts. Although they have a good relationship, they each have their own hearts; Jianqiu falls in love at first sight with street performer Qu Lijiang (played by Yang Yumei), while Yiyue and Captor Wan Zhongshan (Ou Jintang) falls in love. Jianqiu gave Lijiang the ancestral sword art of Lianqing, but Lijiang was tricked into writing down the sword of Lianqing, causing the Murong family to be wiped out. Jianqiu is grieved and cannot forgive Lijiang, causing the two to fall in love but not be able to love each other. The young prostitute Yanyu (played by Cai Xiaoyi) secretly loves him because Jianqiu saves her.
The prince (played by Mo Jiayao) went on a patrol and discovered that someone was behind the scenes to manipulate the bandits, so he managed to infiltrate among the bandits to investigate. During the incident, he met Jianqiu, Lijiang, and Yanyue. Because of the loss of her father, Yan Yue wanted to cling to the prince to revive her family’s reputation, but was ruined by Jian Qiu and Lijiang River. Therefore, Yan Yue held a grudge against the two of them and wanted to put them to death. On the one hand, Jianqiu and Lijiang had to deal with Biyue’s pursuit, but on the other hand, because of their friendship with the prince, they were involved in a conspiracy to usurp the throne.
